We can provide an Estimate over the phone and back it up with a written quote for our Bond Cleaning Services. What we need to know is:

  • Date Service required
  • How many bedrooms
  • How many bathrooms
  • Location, address and building type
  • Property Manager’s Details (For Guarantee)
  • How many rooms are carpeted inc stairs, hallways and landings
  • Do you require an exit pest treatment?
  • Is the property furnished or unfurnished? (If furnished, partly or fully)
  • How many balconies?
  • Are there any white goods to remain at the property as these will require a filter clean and wipe down. Eg, Washer, Fridge, Dryer.
  1. Do a thorough vacuum of your property before we arrive – funny we know, but it’s the first thing we are going to do anyway so we are cleaning in an impeded area.
  2. Remove built up soap residue and mould from bathroom tiles with a thick gel like Domestos Note: Aldi Bleach Gel is a very decent domestic sold cleaner!
  3. Wipe heavy marks from walls with a micro fibre cloth and sugar soap.

This is up to you but as most office cleaning takes place out of regular business hours it is the most convenient option. Ask us about our key security policy. You want to ensure your key is kept safe and your privacy protected.

In most instances, Star Express will bring our own supplies – cleaning solvents, brooms, mops, buckets, vacuums. At an extra cost, we will also supply janitorial supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, kitchen towels / laundering service, dish washing detergent and extra rubbish bin liners.

This will depend on a number of factors including the size of the office, number of employees and the type of business you operate. Star Express will help tailor a cleaning package to meet your requirements outlining recommended frequency, duration and type of cleaning duties carried out at each visit. If you have +10 employees or your business is open to the public then areas such as reception, bathrooms and kitchens and rubbish removal generally need daily attention.

What ever you do, don’t leave your office in the hands of inexperienced cleaners. Yes, we have Public Liability Insurance amongst other Industry Insurances we are required. You should still have you own usual insurances that come with being an occupant or owner of a house and having invitees come onto the premises to perform tasks.

Because we clean Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. most of our customers aren’t home but the vast majority trust Star Express with the key to their home / premises. For additional security, all keys are individually coded and cross-referenced.

No. Every Star Express service crew comes prepared with all the cleaning supplies necessary. However, because Star Express is flexible, if requested and provided, we are happy to service with your preferred products.

We call to reschedule for a more convenient time when house cleanings fall on holidays. Star Express will also remind you about additional services in which you may have expressed an interest. Perhaps that means an additional clean prior to a big holiday party. If you’ve scheduled that extra holiday cleaning service, cancelling or rescheduling does require 72-hours notice.

If we’ve missed a spot of cleaning at your premises, please do let us know on 1800 845 001 within 24 hours. We’ll then communicate with you promptly, looking to rectify the issue within the following 7 days.

Mildew is a type of fungus that can be found growing on a multitude of surfaces where moisture and temperature levels are high. Mildew can typically be identified by its colour ranging from a pinkish orange to black. Most mildews are caused by an overgrowth of its close cousin, mould.
Our professional housecleaners will be able to impede the growth of mildew by removing the built-up food sources that it lives on, such as soap, skin, hair etc. However, if humidity is present, mildew will grow in the area.

We have found to stop the growth of mildew, the area must be kept dry or in many cases, it must be chemically treated to be effective.

We have found that Chlorine bleach is effective and a good sanitizer to use on an infected area and you should always ensure any products you use are suitable for your home and family before using them. For more information go to:

To make our house cleaning services more efficient, we ask that you consult our management team if extra time is required or you wish to change your quoted schedule, prior to a visit from our housekeeping teams.

It is Your responsibility to secure any pets You might have, to ensure that they are not able to leave the Property whilst We are providing the Services and that they do not interrupt or impede the provision of the Services by Us. For sanitary and safety reasons our teams are not permitted to clean flea infested homes or pick up animal excrement unless we are specifically employed to do so.

Star Express can’t guarantee what time residential housekeepers will arrive because each home gets the attention it deserves and not a pre-determined amount of time. Still, most homes fall easily into regularly scheduled cleaning windows between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday. If for any reason you require a more precise time of arrival, our Management Team will work with you for a convenient solution.

pest control faqs

No, it’s not necessary to empty cupboards as we apply a gel to areas where cockroaches nest or harbour. No liquid sprays are applied to these areas.

There is no need to wash utensils or surfaces once the treatment is carried out.

Regularly at intervals of no more than twelve months. Shorter periods may be recommended, according to environment conditions.

It’s best to do the pest control after carpets have been cleaned or vacuumed.

We suggest that the pest control is done after all trades people have completed their jobs (painting, carpet laying, landscaping and final clean up). Preferably one or two days prior to moving in.

It’s safe, but we recommend that you vacate your premises while the treatment is carried out and to ventilate the rooms thoroughly after completion for 4 hours before settling back in.

There is no concern to the safety of animals since the amount of active constituent that they may take in, either by contact while it’s wet or by ingesting it orally, is very small. We recommend removing pets from the property or areas being treated whilst our services are being conducted and allowing time for the chemical to dry before returning. Approximately four hours.

We offer a 90-Day Guarantee with all pest treatment plans based on a set program that you’re happy with prior to your first service.

To avoid triggering an asthma attack, we recommended that he/she is not present while the treatment is carried out, and preferably stays away from the premises overnight.

Access to room edges is necessary to spray along skirting. Therefore clothing articles, magazines, toys etc. should be moved off the ground. All food items should be cleared from bench and table tops.

Sprayed areas are of some concern while still wet. But once the carrier, which is water from the tap, has evaporated, the active constituent adheres to the surfaces and will not contaminate or harm you. Should you get in contact while it’s still wet though, wash with soap and plenty of water as soon as possible.

Yes, it’s possible that insects may wonder in from outside. Chances are that they will have crossed treated areas and will die shortly after.

No it will not. The gel / paste is only applied to areas where insects congregate or harbour, like cracks, crevices or hinges.

No, it will not affect you. The chemicals we apply are registered to be used in hospitals, schools and public places.

No, the emulsion we spray does not stain. It’s a water based residual spray that doesn’t contain strong solvents which might affect colouring or finishes.
